King Benhadad, the king of Syria, in his drunken stupor decided to go and fight against King Ahab and the nation Israel. After the sound defeat of Syria, Benhadad humbled himself before King Ahab. How the reality continually comes true since the Lord proclaimed “I’ll bless those who bless Israel, I’ll curse those who curse Israel.” Something for all living human beings to always ponder.
King Benhadad from his drunken posture made a very poor choice. His choice was met with the loss of his position as mighty ruler. Lord may we bless Israel, Your chosen people, and Your chosen nation. Bring the Prince of Peace as we look up for Your soon return.
